Beef Souvlaki Skewers (Paleo)

These kebabs were incredibly flavorful and were a big hit with the whole family.  Make sure you leave a few hours for these to marinate!

Serves: 6


  • 3 lbs beef, cut into cubes (I used sirloin)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint
  • 2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • sea salt  and black pepper to taste

Put garlic cloves, mint, oregano, rosemary, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper in a food processor and pulse until smooth.

Put beef cubes in a gallon bag and pour marinade over top.  Refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow the flavors to soak into the meat.  

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.  While grill is preheating, thread beef onto skewers.

Grill skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side.  Enjoy plain with a fresh lemon wedge, over rice or in a pita.
