Caribbean Grilled Tuna Steaks with Mango Avocado Salsa

Very simple, fresh and healthy...can't get much better than that!  You can make the mango salsa ahead of time and mix up the seasoning ahead of time.  You can serve this over a bed of greens, rice, quinoa or just on it's own.  

Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks (6-8ozs each)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger

*Mango Avocado Salsa*

  • 1 avocado, pitted and diced
  • 1 mango, pitted and diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced small
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp honey

Directions

Mix all ingredients for the spice rub, including the vinegar and olive oil, in a small bowl.  Rub over tuna steaks.  

Mix ingredients for mango salsa in a bowl.  Refrigerate until ready to use.

Grill tuna steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side.  Remove from grill and garnish with mango avocado salsa.
